The Simpsons: 10 Characters Who Could Definitely Be Killed Off

8. Marge Simpson

Marge SimpsonVoiced By: Julie Kavner Emmy Winning Episodes: "I Married Marge" A long-shot, but could The Simpsons be looking to add a whole new level of complexity to Homer by sacrificing his dear, downtrodden spouse? Chances Of Dying? Like Lisa, this one is unlikely, but Marge comes in just higher than Moe because there is no comedic sacrifice needed in the death. It would be a hugely emotional event, considering her role in the family, and it does often seem like Marge is considered more as a supporting character than the rest of her family, given that she is mostly just Homer's counter-balance, and the grounding influence in the Simpsons household. To be honest, killing Marge would be like retreading the ground when Maude Flanders was killed off. We'd end up with Homer in the same situations as Flanders was, albeit with a different, far more inappropriate spin, and there's no way the chubby nitwit would be able to cope. Killing Marge would be like killing the family, since it would probably very quickly lead to Homer dying of malnourishment, financial ruin and general squalor, and the kids being taken away by social services. How She Should Die Accidentally being killed by Homer would be a good pay-off, if a little cruel.
