This remains one of the most perplexing decisions the Simpsons crew have ever made. During the Season 22 finale "The Nedliest Catch" long time widower Ned Flanders strikes up an unexpected romance with long time divorcee Edna Krabappel. However Ned was disappointed to learn about Edna's promiscuous lifestyle and questioned whether she really was the right woman for him. It was assumed that the relationship would be over by the end of the episode like Selma Bouviers many marriages, but the show had a surprise in store. They ended the episode on a cliffhanger and urged viewers to vote online for the future of the couple. Believe it or not there really was a poll on the Simpsons.com where fans could vote and the results were revealed during the Season 23 premier "The Falcon and the Dohman." Ned and Edna would stay together and eventually marry in secret, until Marcia Wallace's death forced the retirement of the character and left poor Ned widowed once again. The fact is we're surprised enough people were still watching in order to achieve enough votes. It seemed so out of character for the Simpsons to rely on fan polls to determine the future of their characters. That they would attempt such a bizarre concept this late in the game, made it look like they were willing to try anything to get the fans back on board.
As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG.
I may have a problem!
But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
