The Simpsons: 15 Best Treehouse Of Horror Segments - Ranked

3. The Thing And I

The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror
Fox

Bart having an evil twin brother is a relatively simple storyline when compared to some of the other Treehouse of Horror stories, and hearing something rattling around in the attic is a genuinely scary feeling that the audience can relate to.

But it is the twist ending that makes this story stand out. Although a lot of the episodes on this list have had a twist ending, Bart being the real evil twin is easily the best. This is because not only is it shocking, it is also believable, which Bart even addresses with the line "Oh, don't look so shocked".

The fact that the family then shove Bart in the attic and have Hugo at the dinner table so perfectly sums up Homer's attitude that it almost feels like a real episode.
