The Simpsons: 15 Huge Guest Stars & Cameos You Forgot
14. Sam Neill
When a mysterious cat burglar hit Springfield in season five, making off with Marge's pearls, Lisa's saxophone, and Bart's stamp collection, the entire town was sent into a frenzy of panic. This is when Homer decided to take the protection of Springfield into his own hands.
Though it wasn't too difficult to put together that the unknown criminal and the only newcomer in the entire episode were one in the same, Springfield Retirement Home resident, Molloy, managed to elude Homer for some time.
The old man was brought to life by Sam Neill, just six months after the actor starred in one of the biggest movies in the history of cinema, Jurassic Park. Trading in dinosaurs on Isla Nublar for the world's largest cubic zirconia, Neill's role in The Simpsons was far smaller, but still wonderfully fun.
After leading the entire town on a wild goose chase in the style of It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, Molloy was able to escape prison and was never seen or heard from in Springfield again.
