The Simpsons: 20 Best Movie Parodies
17. Bram Stoker's Dracula
Seen in: Treehouse Of Horror IV (Season 5, Episode 5)
Given that the annual Halloween episodes generally get through three parodies apiece, the Treehouse Of Horrors contain many a brilliant movie parody. This spoof, primarily of Francis Ford Coppola's ripe-for-mockery Bram Stoker's Dracula, is one of the most, shall we say, biting.
Also finding room for references to other vampire films like The Lost Boys and Salem's Lot, the best moments are Mr Burns perfectly replicating Gary Oldman's Dracula look and Homer's inept staking of Burn's heart ("er, Dad. That's his crotch.") And only The Simpsons could then end this horror comedy on a spoof of Peanuts...
That's not it for vampire parodies, however, as a more recent Halloween special took on Twilight with the fun casting of Daniel Radcliffe as the Edward Cullen stand-in, Edmund.
