The Simpsons: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best
16. Ralph Wiggum
Looking at Ralph Wiggum, you can quickly tell that he takes after his father. The kid is a chip off the old block as he's innocent, naïve and pretty darn dumb, which easily makes him a fun character to watch. However, unlike others who are made fun of for being simple-minded, Ralph has qualities that make him avoid being the butt of the joke.
There's a blissful optimism to Ralph that stops him from being annoying and turns him into something adorable. Although he has many barriers - thanks to his ignorance - he always tries his best and has an upbeat energy that makes all of his lines seem wholesome and sweet.
You even get the chance to see a more emotional side to him, especially in "I Love Lisa", when he gets too invested in Lisa as a Valentine and ends up getting heartbroken. It's sad to see such a sweet kid get hurt, but he grows and learns from it.
