The Simpsons: Every Sideshow Bob Episode Ranked Worst To Best

Back when The Simpsons was still working to find its voice -- caught between being the wacky adult comedy it would soon become, and the grounded family sitcom it wanted to be -- season one's Krusty Gets Busted started it all.

In this early gem, Sideshow Bob frames Krusty for robbery and takes over his show, revenge for the years of humiliation he'd faced under the famous clown's employ.

It's easy to watch Krusty Gets Busted and see it as a far removed chapter of the show's history, complete with weaker voice work (save for Grammer, who instantly soars) and animation, but even with its flaws it's a great foundation of the Bob adventures still to come, at once heartfelt and ludicrous.

It's not quite as zany as future instalments, but it's still wonderfully paced and entertaining in a way few Bob episodes would be again.
