The Simpsons: Every Sideshow Bob Episode Ranked Worst To Best

4. Brother From Another Series (Season 8, Episode 16)

The Simpsons Cape Feare
Fox

Perhaps the greatest thing about Sideshow Bob is Kelsey Grammer, whose performance has always been that of a twisted, clumsy Frasier Crane, a comparison which makes Brother From Another Series all the more self-aware and hysterical.

Following Bob as he's released from prison and employed by his brother Cecil (as played by Frasier co-star David Hyde Pierce), the episode puts Bob on the road to redemption but thwarted by his devious, bickering brother.

Watching Pierce and Grammer lean into their most famous character's eccentricities whilst playing two remarkably different siblings is simply divine, made all the more amusing by Bob's frustrated team-up with Bart and Lisa.

Wonderfully dry and ending with some of Bob's best slapstick, Brother From Another Series is an episode that worked far better than it had any right to.
