Speaking of Kang and Kodos, their original appearance in the second story of the shows first ever Halloween special is another cracker. Abducted by servile aliens, the Simpsons family initially enjoys being waited on but Lisa soon comes to wonder if the aliens have an ulterior motive in fattening them up. A riff on a classic episode of The Twilight Zone, its a sharply-written piece from back when The Simpsons was still finding its feet.
