The Umbrella Academy: 10 Biggest Changes To The Comics

4. Hazel & Cha Cha

Dark Horse Comics

While the pair may have been depicted as murderous lunatics in the Netflix show, the development that they received did make them seem like actual human beings, and ones who could love and care. As for the comic book versions however, their personalities could be summed up in one word: sadistic.

In the source material, we only really see the duo doing three things, those being torturing people, killing people, and getting extremely hyper after eating a bunch of sugar, meaning that they weren't really much more than trigger-happy children in the books, and readers never even get to see their actual faces.

At least the comic book versions got a death actually worthy for the characters, with Klaus possessing Hazel and then blowing Cha Cha's brains out (literally) before turning the gun on his host body, unlike the engulfing by apocalyptic fire that they were stuck with on-screen.
