The US Office: 10 Best Episodes Of All Time
7. Classy Christmas
It should be unsurprising that a sitcom set within a
fictional workplace managed to produce some great episodes centred around the
infamous Christmas party.
While any of the Christmas-themed episodes could have made this list, Classy Christmas ultimately received the nod because it had everything that made the show great in the first place. The episode included Holly returning to Dunder Mifflin Scranton, causing Michael to go all out for the party this year, even hiring one quarter of a jazz quartet (you read that right). The best moments in this episode however, feature Jim and Dwight who are locked in an ongoing snowball fight. This leads to the highlight of the episode where Dwight showcases his bizarre collection of wigs that allow him to imitate anyone in the office.
The episode is excellent in creating the ‘will they or won’t
they’ tension that the show so frequently leans on as Michael and Holly are
reunited following her move to Nashville in season five. The show was always at
its best when there was a potential romantic story arc in play and even though
the Michael and Holly arc didn’t payoff quite like the original Jim and Pam one
did, it ultimately did fill the void that had been missing during the past few
seasons.
