The US Office: 10 Best Episodes Of All Time
3. Goodbye, Michael
Because… feels.
In hindsight this episode is often bittersweet as many fans of the show will agree that this marks the point where the show started to sadly decline. Even though the show featured great cast of characters, it never really survived the loss of Michael Scott, which should truly be a testament to the excellent job that Steve Carell did in his portrayal of the character. This episode sees the departure of the character that Carell had made his own for seven seasons as Michael moved to Denver with his now fiancé Holly. The self-proclaimed World’s Best Boss received a fitting send-off as he made his way through the office bidding farewell to his co-workers, one-by-one. This reaches its peak when Jim figures out that Michael is in actually leaving at the end of the day rather than the next day as initially thought and proceeds to say a heartfelt goodbye in which he tells Michael he really was the best boss that he had.

In saying goodbye to one of its main characters, The Office managed to create one of its best episodes that shows why the show was more than just a sitcom.
