Alaric Saltzman first made his presence felt in the second half of the show's first season, but little did any of us know how significant the-teacher-turned-vampire-hunter would be to The Vampire Diaries shared universe.
Davis' time on the show was somewhat sporadic as he departed and returned as Alaric was killed off and resurrected. His return for the sixth season saw him remain with the show until its conclusion.
However, he wasn't done with Alaric yet as he would also reprise that role on The Originals before joining the main cast of the other spinoff Legacies. And with that show set to enter its third season, we can still see plenty of Mr. Saltzman on The CW.
