7. Lori

Lori is a controversial choice, because by the end of her run, most people (myself included) were baying for blood. She's a mother in the apocalypse yet she loses Carl more times than you see the pair together, and generally just does horribly annoying things that deserve death, including somehow managing to crash a car on an empty road in the APOCALYPSE. So while she may have deserved a grim end in many people's eyes, I'm going to put a different spin on this one and say it was undeservedly awful for Rick. His pregnant wife gave birth to their baby and died in the process after having Judith cut out form the womb. Thankfully the little girl survived, though Lori didn't last long. Rick didn't have a chance to say goodbye, or any sort of last words, and one of the final scenes involving her was an argument. Then to make matters worse, when Rick finds her death spot, he finds no corpse, just an immensely full walker who's chomped his wife down, hair and all. Savage.
