6. Duane

Another possibly contentious addition to the list is little Duane Jones, Morgan's son who only features in the Pilot episode. By the time we next see his father, Duane is long dead, and though we don't see any of it play out on screen, Morgan's description is graphic and heartbreaking enough. Morgan couldn't kill his wife, a decision which came round to bite...his son. Young Duane was in a stand-off with his zombified mother and he too couldn't kill her. That's surely one of the most heartbreaking tales we've heard but haven't seen on TWD. And was all made worse when she pounced and bit Duane until Morgan eventually killed his undead wife. We don't know what happened after that other than Duane died, though the comics saw Duane turn into a walker before being released into the wild.
