The Walking Dead: 10 Characters You Probably Forgot About
6. Dale
The original grandad of the group and the one everyone forgot about. Shame on you!
Dale was an initial member of cast and lasted two seasons in the show. He was largely seen working on his precious RV, if not offering advice to the younger members of the group.
The greatest attribute that Dale possessed, was his ability to form strong bonds with his fellow survivors. None more so than his adopted daughter, Angie. He saved her life on more than one occasion and despite the fact they often bickered, it was apparent that their bond was genuine.
He had a similar relationship with Glenn. Shortly after arriving at the farm, he offered a young Glenn some romantic advice, when he confided his feelings about Maggie. It was a wholesome act and helped display the sort of man that Dale was.
His death was one of the most infuriating in the series because it was entirely avoidable. It ocurred when Carl was going through his annoying phase and had a weird obsession with walkers. He attracted one to the farm and it eventually disemboweled Dale.
It was an unfitting end for one of the unsung heroes of the earlier series.
