4. Winter Is Coming
Non-zombie antagonists are so fascinating on the show because it highlights different sides to the characters that we don't see when they're busy hacking zombies. But make no mistake, when winter comes in the comics, its nearly as deadly as the herd.
With the group now much further north than before, the climate offers a bevy of new challenges. Cold is not something they can just stab and make go away. They have to get creative, finding lasting solutions to a problem that is here to stay, and making a new kind of survival a key part of their daily lives.
Food becomes scarce and power is non-existent... but so are the zombies. This puts the group in an interesting bind, its safer than ever to go on supply runs, but the weather makes it precarious in a different way. Though winter might only last a couple of episodes, this could be a very interesting problem to see them try to solve.
