The Walking Dead: 10 Horrifying Comic Book Moments Never In The TV Show
6. Michonne's Revenge On The Governor
While many of our beloved survivors are tormented by The Governor in the comics, with Glenn beaten and Rick losing his hand, none suffer more than Michonne. After attacking The Governor and biting off part of his ear as revenge for Rick's hand, Michonne is separated from her friends, bound, tortured, and raped.
When she eventually escapes her confinement, Michonne plots revenge. After cornering The Governor in his Woodbury apartment, Michonne inflicts various forms of torture on the villain, including cutting off his arm, ripping out his fingernails, and taking a power drill to various parts of his body. Finally, she gouges out his eye with a spoon.
In the TV series, The Governor attempts to have Michonne killed on numerous occasions, targeting her more-so than the other survivors due to the fact that she killed his zombie daughter, but she is never in his custody long enough for torture to take place. While Michonne does remove The Governor's eye, it is done with a strike of her Katana. Having a protagonist so brutally torture someone, even a villain, was likely considered inappropriate for television.
