The Walking Dead: 10 Important Characters Who Aren’t In The Comics

9. Deanna

You guessed it, Deanna was also invented for the TV show, based on Regina's husband Douglas. He is the leader of Alexandria, a competent one, though he had a dark side that would see him promote attractive younger women to higher places in the community to strike up relationships, despite being married to Regina. Douglas' marriage was largely political by the time of his wife's death, with the pair frequently warring, though after the incident involving Peter and Regina, Douglas felt a great deal of regret and guilt. He showed a lot of remorse for pursuing other women, a theme that was not picked up on with Deanna and Reg. The pair swapped genders from page to screen, but again, their attitudes were very different too.
