The Walking Dead: 10 Mistakes That Must Be Learnt From In Season 6

6. Changing Scenes To Avoid Certain Death

The Walking Dead has been using a very sneaky editing technique to get around situations when a much-loved character appears to be facing inescapable, certain death. This technique allows them to escape unharmed, and creates a couple of minutes of tension, but ultimately it is cheap and harms the integrity of the show. In the final episode of Season 5, Glenn was shot by Nicholas and was wrestling on the ground with at least three Walkers. Obviously, Glenn is a tough-cookie after all this time out in the wild, but that was surely an impossible situation to escape while almost fatally wounded. Naturally the camera cut and Glenn appeared a little worse for wear, but importantly, not bitten, in time to beat up Nicholas a few minutes later. This needs to stop: it's lazy and cheap manipulation the audience is getting wise to.
