Right from the start of The Walking Dead's first episode, the walkers have been instantly terrifying. Viewers were thrown in at the deep end when it came to the gore side of proceedings.

However, showrunner Dave Erickson has teased that Fear will more resemble a 'family drama' rather than an all-out bloodfest straight away, and that is actually a great thing. There's absolutely no rush to deliver massive amounts of carnage just yet like TWD, so hopefully they take their time and build up the terror.

Walkers should be slowly introduced, the tension should be gradually boiled up, and the horror should grow with each episode. In TWD, the 'terror factor' has evaporated, but the spinoff show should make the audience, well, Fear The Walking Dead once again in a new, fresh way...
