The Walking Dead: 10 Things That Could Happen Next (According To The Comics)

10. Staying In Alexandria

For the most part, the early days of the comic books and the TV show alike were characterised by almost continuous motion, with regular breaks. The group begin a story arc, or a season of television, in one central base of operations. The setting has its own idiosyncrasies, supporting cast additions, and catalysts for conflict, drama and story beats. The prison, Woodbury, etc. Then there's some big climactic ending to the arc/season, remaining in that place becomes untenable, and they up sticks for pastures new. Except this season of the TV show ended with Rick and his group remaining in the Alexandria Safe-Zone they only stumbled upon relatively late into the run of episodes anyway, and if the comics are anything to go by, they'll be there for a while. In fact the Alexandria Safe-Zone remains the main setting for the comics, some seventy issues later. If each season of the TV show roughly adapts a single volume of the comic, then you can expect...well, many more seasons set in Alexandria. So hopefully you like these new digs, as there not going anyway any time soon.
