The Walking Dead: 10 Things That Could Happen Next (According To The Comics)
7. Hilltop Colony And The Second Coming
But hey, it all works out, because eventually The Herd get dealt with (despite some other casualties, but we'll get to that), and Carl lives to fight another day. He gets a Governor-esque eye patch and mental instability along with it but, well, them's the breaks. In the meantime his dad's off making friends with the locals, making contact with another local survivor's settlement that shock doesn't wanna kill them! Not long after Rick has cemented his place as leader of Alexandria something which effectively happened at the end of season five and The Herd has been dealt with, expect to see the introduction of the Hilltop Colony and their leader, Jesus. Yeah, you read that right. Both are introduced as part of an arc in the comics called A Larger World. Which is accurate, because it expands the scope of the series even more. An unknown observer of the town reveals himself to be Paul, from another colony of over 200 survivors Hilltop, not far from the Safe-Zone. He's their leader, an able fighter who is relatively peaceful and forbids weapon from his town. Which is why people call him Jesus. That and the beard.
