The Walking Dead: 10 Things We Have To See In The Final Season

Aside from some of the major character sidelining that's gone on since Rick's departure, there's also been a new development that's only really revealed itself in the backend of season ten. During the final fight against a madly unhinged Beta and his mega-horde, there was a promise that not everyone would make it to see the next season.

But Beta (and a minor recurring character from Oceanside) was the only notable death, despite the sheer threat level the final stand posed. None of Magna's group died, despite Luke's death being teased more than once, and - worst of all - Gabriel was ready to go down saving his friends, only to be saved at the very last minute by a randomly appearing Maggie.

Given Gabriel's comic book death, this was a majorly bad move that has now rendered his character dull and overwrought. Other characters, such as Ezekiel, Alden and Dianne, also feel overused at this point, and if the final season wants to keep the tension levels high, clearing out some of the show's useless baggage would be a great place to start.
