Perhaps one of the most infamous yet praised moments in the history of the entire show. This is a bit of a double barrel entry, as the show pulled off two twists in one swift move. Everyone knew that Negan was on his way into the show and due to the comics most audience members knew that Glenn died in Negan's first introduction.

So when Negan jumped out of the RV van and started talking about a punishment, fans expected the worst. What they didn't expect was to be left on a six month cliffhanger on who had actually been killed! While incredibly unpopular at the time, some fans have come round on the decision as it did provide the community with a discussion topic for months.

However there was a further twist. Once the premiere of season seven began fans were shocked to see it was actually Abraham who had been chosen to be killed.
