The Walking Dead: 11 Major Moments From The Comics We Still Need To See

8. Carol's Suicide

One of the major differences between the TV show and the comics is Carol's character. A reluctant badass and one of the best characters on the show, comic Carol is only really notable for her bonkers death.

After a string of issues where she attempts to get in both Rick and Lori's pants (often at the same time), it's clear that Carol is starting to lose it. The extent of her fractured psyche isn't completely revealed until issue 42 though, where she willingly lets a walker chomp down on her neck.

Rejected by Rick and deciding that she doesn't want to live in this world anymore, the character plots to commit suicide via zombie. Telling her new 'friend' that she's lost the trust of everyone she cares about, Carol offers herself up as lunch.

Despite the radical differences between the two characters, for a while in season 6 it looked as though Carol might have lost it enough to actually do something similar to her comic-book counterpart, but it's hard to see such a beloved character going out like this.

Still, it's such a brutally iconic moment that there's a good chance someone else will be unlucky enough to be given the death in season 8.
