The Walking Dead 5.3 Review - 5 Talking Points From "Four Walls And A Roof"
5. Tainted Meat
For those fans of the show whove also read the comics, the scene with Bob and the hunters was one we were already familiar with, and although we expected it to happen, it was still a nice moment, and for those viewers with the benefit of not having it spoiled, it provided quite the satisfactory jolt. Bob is a guy who went from being background noise who we had little attachment to the infectious optimist who found happiness in a world devoid of color and laughter. To see him have somewhat of a last laugh over the men who dined on his leg was reassuring, and appropriate for Bobs character. The decision to dump him back at the church while still alive didnt really make much sense, and we were never given an answer to the question of whether or not consuming his flesh would lead to the others becoming infected, but it was a fun moment and a nice callback to a classic moment from the Kirkman books.
