The Walking Dead 5.3 Review - 5 Talking Points From "Four Walls And A Roof"

2. The Family€™s Torn Apart€Again

The decision to head to Washington D.C. for super-scientist Eugene to cure the zombie plague and reverse-engineer the apocalypse has been the driving motivator for the majority of our group since the introduction of Eugene, his guardian angel, Abraham, and their sidekick Rosita. Abraham has supported the group, providing valuable backup when they€™ve really needed him, but now he€™s had enough and he€™s ready to go. For a soldier like Abraham, the mission always comes first, and he€™s determined to get Eugene to D.C. no matter what, even if that means leaving Rick and company behind. The fact that Daryl and Carol are still missing isn€™t his concern. In an attempt to keep the peace and reach a compromise (as Glenn is wont to do), he, Maggie and Tara agree to join the Washington shortbus caravan provided they€™ll wait one more day. As the episode ends, we see the group, who fought so hard to make it back to each other after the battle at the prison, willingly go their separate ways once again. It was a heartbreaker, only eased by the optimistic tone of the group as they said their goodbyes.
