The Walking Dead: 5 Spin-Offs That Could Work But Probably Wouldn’t

King Ezekiel And The Kingdom Or Game Of Thrones With Zombies

The Walking Dead Ezekiel While The Walking Dead may be inspired by Robert Kirkman's comic book series, it has long since deviated from its source material. Despite this, AMC could go to the well again and draw up a new series ripped directly from the pages of the black and white monthly. In Walking Dead #108 we meet Ezekial, leader of a community called the Kingdom. Described by Robert Kirkman as possibly, "...the smartest person in the Comic Series," self styled "King," Ezekiel is a former zookeeper who has adopted a kingly persona that includes a pet tiger named Shiva! After the zombie outbreak, people were drawn to the legend of the man with the tiger, and he eventually became their leader. His Kingdom is in a state of conflict with Governor knock-off Negen and his community a group that is preying on weaker human settlements for "tribute," in exchange for protection from the undead. A very different spin on the current series, this idea could show the depths to which humanity has sunk and how with limited resources, man could begin to build something of value from out of the rubble. The conflict between the Governor and Team Rick on The Walking Dead was never truly handled effectively, could a whole show be built around an already inadequately used premise?
