7. He's The Only Person Not Linked To Death

Rick is the only person in the metaphorical 'safe zone' in the eyes of fans. It's a large cast, yet every single one of them could be killed off, and while some deaths would be more shocking than others, there's a sense of inevitability knowing that every character's going to die sooner or later. Rick seemingly doesn't apply to this rule. Even fan favourites like Daryl and Glenn have been heavily touted for death, meaning that when they do go it will be heartbreaking but almost expected from the show which loves to slaughter its stars. The only character death that would be unanimously shocking across the entire fanbase is Rick, and for that reason, The Walking Dead writers need to finish him off at some point. Would they pull the trigger in Season 6 though?
