The Walking Dead: 8 Reasons Why Rick Shouldn't Survive Season 6

8. He's Just Another Human

Let's strip the entire show down the bare basics. Humans are tough. Humans are fighters. Humans die. Rick Grimes is meat and bones, just like every other character on the show. A walker chewing on his neck would prove just as fatal as any other undead kill on the show, though the amount of times he's scraped out of tight spots has elevated him up to a 'more than human' status. While it's obvious that the writers want to build an action hero out of Rick, there gets to a certain point when surviving close-calls in every episode becomes unrealistic considering one tiny mistake usually results in death for any other character on the show. The writers could definitely prove the Rick isn't/wasn't invincible by killing him off.
