The Walking Dead: 8 Things "Forget" Got Right (And 2 It Didn't)

1. Is This The New Status Quo?

Another of the major ways season five of The Walking Dead has been confounding expectations is in the structure. Usually the show introduces not only a new villain but a new location towards the beginning of every season, setting the stage for everything that's going to come afterwards, letting writers and viewers alike really dig into what's going on with the group this year. Throughout season five, however, they've almost always been on the move. From Terminus train car to the church to splitting up and going in four different directions to heading towards Washington together to Alexandria, there hasn't really been a chance to establish a status quo. It got to the point where it seemed like the wandering was the status quo, that from now on the group would forever be on the move. It would make a nice change, after all. Except now, from all the radical changes the group has been going through €“ including shaving, in Rick's case €“ and the concepts and characters that have been introduced, it seems like the Alexandria Safe-Zone is where it's going to be for the remaining episodes. So that's a bit of an abrupt shift for one thing, and is this back half of the season really going to be a comedy of manners, with the fish-out-of-water Grimes lot trying to adjust to civilise society like the episode The Simpsons episode €œScenes From The Class Struggle In Springfield€?
