The Walking Dead: 8 Things "Remember" Got Right (And 2 It Didn't)

5. A Family

It's been a while since The Walking Dead actually bothered to interrogate the make up of its core ensemble. At first it made a sort of sense, with Rick Grimes being reunited with his family, along with a rag-tag bunch of survivors who assembled under the auspices of himself and fellow cop Shane €“ a couple of law enforcers who these everyday folk felt they could trust. Then that obviously went to pot, and since then the Rick Grimes Power Hour has mostly just recruited whoever they bump into and seems relatively trustworthy, like a Katamari ball shorn of any sort of colour or whimsy. New character, a former congresswoman named Deanna, even points out the peculiar make up of the group. She's impressed to see people of all different backgrounds with seemingly nothing in common coming together to look after each other €“ as they all bunk up together in the same house for their first night in the Alexandria Safe-Zone, they're like a family. That's the best description we've had so far. They don't necessarily like each other as people, but they stick together, no matter what.
