The Walking Dead: 8 Things "Remember" Got Right (And 2 It Didn't)

1. The Continued Collapse Of Rick Grimes

If there's one ongoing storyline that's been running ever since The Walking Dead began and hasn't let up €“ in fact only now starting to really reach fever pitch €“ it's the slow disintegration of Rick Grimes. It's probably not a coincidence that Andrew Lincoln's character chose this episode to finally shave that crazy man beard, since he's trying to convince people of his sanity. Behind closed doors, however, he makes no qualms about his plans for the Alexandria Safe-Zone. To be fair even with open doors he's rather stand-offish, telling Deanna during his interview that they'd do well to keep their gates closed to anyone and everyone, that life is now about survival at any cost, and you can't trust anyone out there €“ they've always got an angle. He also admitted to killing people €“ so many now that he's lost count. Does that sound like the talk of a hero? Then there was that amazing ending scene, with Rick reinstated as a cop, where he talks pretty casually about taking over the place if it doesn't work out. Which is absolutely bloody terrifying. It's also an incredibly ballsy thing to have your nominal protagonist be planning for, and for him to act in general. Seriously, Rick Grimes looks like he's gonna wind up being season five's big bad.
