After taking the prison in the previous episode, Sick throws a complication in the mix by having Rick, Daryl and T-Dog clash with a group of prisoners who have no idea the world's ended. Elsewhere, the others try to save Hershel, who's had his leg cut off after being bitten.

An iconic instalment in the world of The Walking Dead, the episode introduces the unhinged villains Tomas and Andrew, who attempt to kill Rick as they're clearing out a cell block to live in, and signals a change in Rick's attitude toward murder.

One of the season's many action-focussed episodes, Sick moves incredibly quick and features some impressive sequences of carnage, though it loses points for dispatching Tomas so casually and failing to add depth to the fractured relationship of Rick and Lori, which is teased and then dropped for later.
