The Walking Dead: Every Season 3 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

9. Prey

The Walking Dead
AMC

Prey almost entirely plays out like one big chase sequence, as Andrea finally escapes from The Governor's clutches, only to find he's right on her tail as she makes her way to the prison.

Though there's also an intriguing side story dealing with Tyreese and Sasha's disillusionment with Woodbury, the best part of the episode comes from Andrea's attempts to get back to her old group. She fights walkers, traps The Governor, and runs for hours...only to get captured at the very last second.

It's thrilling stuff, amplifying just how twisted and evil The Governor really is and how Andrea has never been safe with him, and it ends with an absolute gut-punch.

Even if the Tyreese/Sasha stuff feels a bit misplaced, Prey still hits the right notes as far as its shock value and narrative importance is concerned.
