Featuring one of The Walking Dead's most traumatising and iconic death scenes, Spend is an episode in three parts, one dealing with Rick's new gig as Alexandria's constable, one with Abraham and his new construction crew, and the biggest and best following Glenn, Tara, Eugene, Noah, Aiden and Nicholas on their latest run.
The Rick side of things is intriguing in the way it properly introduces season villain Pete, and watching Abraham take on waves of walkers is ludicrously entertaining.
But the best part of the episode comes from the group's run, as Aiden is brutally killed by a grenade and a walker herd, and Nicholas selfishly causes the death of Noah, which is Glenn is forced to watch helplessly.
Spend is a harrowing episode highlighting the fact that although the group have found shelter, the world's dangers are still more prevalent than ever, and they're far from safe.
