The Walking Dead: Every Season 9 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

14. Warning Signs

The Walking Dead Daryl Beta
AMC

Following on from A New Beginning, the third episode Warning Signs continues to check in on the aftermath of war. Specifically, how the former Saviors are struggling to integrate with the communities, and someone's out there picking them off as revenge for their pasts.

Incorporating a surprisingly thrilling mystery into the show's internal struggle, it almost feels like a standalone episode, and though it has little bearing on the rest of the season, its emotional payoff is fairly satisfying.

The most important part of the episode comes in its final moments, when Daryl and Maggie decide to kill Negan despite Rick's wishes. It's melodic and dark, and makes it clear the war with the Saviors isn't quite over for everyone.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
