During his rage-fuelled travels, Morgan (Lennie James) came into contact with Eastman (John Carrol Lynch), a former psychiatrist who believed that all life is precious.
Eastman was a brilliant character, who taught Morgan how to fight without killing anyone. He was bitten during their last training session, much to Morgan's dismay, and was put down off-screen before being buried.
His teachings would go on to play a major role in Morgan's journey.
