The Walking Dead Mid-Season 7 Premiere: 6 Ups & 3 Downs From 'Rock In The Road'

Every so often - and a lot of the time it's in the premiere episodes - The Walking Dead likes to remind us of the threat of the walkers, which may not be as bad as the Saviours but is still a huge concern.

Here, there's a huge herd on the way, and the Saviours have rigged up cars with some serious explosives to stop them. It's a tense scene at first, a race against time to get the explosives, put everything back, and get the hell out of there before the herd arrives on the scene. It then explodes into realms of ridiculousness, with Michonne and Rick simultaneously hot-wiring the tethered cars, and - moving at the same speed - slice through the zombies masses.

It's an insane stunt, a huge set-piece in a mostly quiet episode, but there's no denying the sheer spectacle of it, and it stands as the highlight of the episode, and one of the season.
