The Walking Dead Season 11 Review - 3 Downs & 5 Ups From "A New Deal"
4. Up - Pamela and Lance's Reunion
Now that Lance's vendetta against Daryl, Maggie, and co. has stopped with the intervention of Pamela and Mercer, Lance's future for the remaining episodes is left up in the air.
This week though, Lance has been punished by everyone around him and finds himself tied up in the confines of his society; he shares one scene with Pamela that reveals his fate and potential future. Telling him about taking the fall for the crimes committed by Sebastian, as well as his activities outside the walls, Lance is left shaken by her words.
In a boast of retaliation, Lance warns Pamela of his own loyal people who may cause a problem for her, which fans will see later on comes to fruition while he remains imprisoned. With each of them unable to back down from their manipulation and mind games, the scene shows off the pair's intellect and ability to form strategies that make them more formidable than they originally appear.
Played brilliantly by Josh Hamilton and Laila Robins, the duo give some of their characters' best performances while also showing them both to be some of the series' most unlikely antagonists. And having been separated for so long, it's great to see them reunited for this confrontational highlight.
