The Walking Dead Season 11 Review: 5 Ups & 5 Downs From "For Blood"

6. DOWN: There's Far Too Many Loose Threads

The Walking Dead For Blood
AMC

Aside from the cliffhangers, For Blood is an episode bursting with some pretty big unresolved plotlines.

At the beginning of the episode, Aaron and Carol lead a group to fix the damage caused by the storm in Alexandria, but they're not seen in action for the rest of the episode. Given the walker infestation and the severe weather, it feels odd that the writers would make audiences wait so long before seeing them again.

Likewise, recently promoted series regulars Alden and Jerry are missing entirely, with Alden's fate still hanging in the balance from the wounds he sustained five episodes ago.

And then there's the Commonwealth, which ended its last episode on a massive turning point, but here does nothing to tease what might be coming in the show's next chapter.

For all its faults and virtues, For Blood is an episode that does very little to tie up loose ends, making its ambiguous final scene all the more frustrating.
