The Walking Dead Season 11 Review - 6 Ups & 2 Downs From "What's Been Lost"

2. Up - Yumiko's Announcement To The Commonwealth

Everyone throughout the season so far had some truly outstanding moments as the series reaches its conclusion. Whether it's Eugene protecting Max or Daryl and Judith sharing an honest and tender moment, everyone has gotten their dramatic and standout scene for fans to remember.

Yumiko received her own standout moment from this week when she addressed the people of the Commonwealth that she would be defending Eugene rather than prosecuting him. Leaving everyone, including Pamela, in shock, the lawyer took a gamble that will surely have implications for the episodes to follow.

Playing a much bigger part compared to her brief appearances in the episodes that came out before it, Yumiko's actor, Eleanor Matsuura, delivered a dramatic and powerful performance for the character as she addresses her loyalty to the law above all else for everyone to witness. This conclusion to her arc in the episode felt natural and earned after speaking with her friends and family which may have put her on a dangerous path, it also saw her do the right thing for her friend and client, Eugene.

Taking a gamble as much as Carol, hers was far more personal and shocking as she forced Pamela into a tight corner, making it all the more satisfying to watch.
