The Walking Dead Season 11 Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs From "Acheron Part 1 & 2"

Going into the final season, it was clear the Commonwealth was going to play a massive role, and offer up the vast majority of the season's conflict.

But then season ten revealed a new villain called the Reapers, a mask-wearing group of survivors who don't appear in the comics source material and are currently after Maggie and her group.

The Reapers aren't in either part of Acheron all that much, but needless to say when they appear they make quite the impression, dressed to kill and bringing to mind last season's Whisperer threat, only with more guns and an even more intimidating get-up.

Since they don't appear in the comics, it's tough to say what the Reapers are really after or where they came from, but their brief appearances in the show so far mean they've got a lot of narrative potential, and are going to cause some serious issues for our heroes.

Whilst the Commonwealth are being extra mysterious at the moment, the Reapers are definitely the main threat at this point in the season, and it's going to be great to see where they end up.
