The Walking Dead Season 11 Review - 7 Ups & 1 Down From "Outpost 22"

Before Lance's death in last week's episode, he revealed a train that was planned to be used by the Commonwealth. During their stakeout of the vehicle, Daryl and Carol discover the name Outpost 22 and try to figure out what it could be.

Acting as a major mystery throughout the episode from people who have been imprisoned and those trying to break them out, they try to uncover information in multiple ways for what and where it could be. But a twist in the final scene reveals that Outpost 22 is in fact their former home of Alexandria.

This payoff not just shows how cruel Lance was and what he had in store for them after occupying it and the other communities back in episode 16, but he transformed their once lavish community into an intimidating fortress. He may no longer be living, but Lance's actions still live on and made it personal for everyone involved.

It also greatly blends the two separate storylines together, as all characters share the same dread and horrifying reaction to this twist. Ending on one heck of a sour note, next week's episode can't come soon enough to see how our survivors are going to get out of this jam and restore their community.
