The Walking Dead Season 11 Review: 9 Ups & 1 Down From "On The Inside"
5. UP: Lauren Ridloff Steals The Show
The music is amazing, the direction is without fault, but the best part of the episode has to be the performance of Lauren Ridloff, who plays Connie as both paranoid, scared, desperate and hopeful in equal measure.
A naturally expressive performer, Ridloff conveys more emotion that anyone else in the episode with just her facial expressions and frequently frantic use of American Sign Language, perfectly capturing the horror of Connie's latest predicament and her recent trauma.
From the moment she finds someone lurking in the house she and Virgil hideout in to the moment she's trapped inside the walls and unable to grab her friend's attention, Ridloff absolutely steals the show and cements the fact that she deserves a lot more time in the front of the camera.
The performances of Angel Theory, Kevin Carroll and Norman Reedus are all top-notch, but it's Ridloff's show, and what a show it is.
