The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale: 10 Huge Questions Created

8. Cannibalism?

One of the most popular theories regarding Terminus is that it's a community of cannibals who've resorted to feasting on human flesh to survive during these food-scarce times. For readers of The Walking Dead comic series, this is a plot thread that has already been touched upon. And due to the show's integration of stories from the comic (albeit with its own unique twist), such as Lizzie killing her sister and the Governor's invasion of the prison, we know the show runners are using the source material as inspiration. If the Terminus residents are indeed cannibals, that would explain some of the subtle hints we've seen here and there throughout the last two episodes. For example, out of all the plants that are growing at the compound, very few of them appear to be edible. Why allocate precious resources to growing sunflowers when that same effort could be applied to growing some form of sustenance, like corn or beans. That giant grill wasn't cooking dandelions. As the survivors were running through the grounds of Terminus in an attempt to escape, screams can be heard coming from the surrounding rail cars. And what was with that gruesome cage full of (what appeared to be human) meat and bones? Was that a slaughtering pen?
