2. Open-Ended Cliffhanger

The simple end-goal of every Premiere is to draw the millions of viewers back to their TV screens at the same time, one week later. We've seen plenty of action go down already, but the blaring horn has sparked the first mystery of the season. Who exactly is it, and why? We know a lot more about the group dynamics, but we still don't completely know where the show is going, though an educated guess would suggest a stand-off at Alexandria. Yet again, the effects team have to be commended for displaying the terrifying scale of the walkers. I want to watch the next episode NOW, I don't want to wait a week. The Premiere has achieved its mission.
