2. Denise
Quite simply, Denise. This was her strongest episode to date, and despite not really having a lot of time to impress, she certainly did in her few crucial scenes. She saved Carl's life and rapidly grew into her role as the doctor of Alexandria. Her relationship with Tara wasn't particularly explored in great detail, but on the whole, Denise was a respected character despite her short spell in the show.
Her development had to be rapid if she wanted to catch up with the rest of the world and survive it. It was, to an extent, but her journey to become a complete survivor was cruelly shortened. She had proven herself as a solid asset, but her final test was to survive exposure to the outside world. So close...
