2. Pacing

Fast, slow, light-speed, glacial. The Walking Dead's pacing has been a messy feature of the show for a while now. It jerks from one scene to the next with seemingly random speeds and leaves some episodes looking like a bit sloppy in places. Don't get me wrong, I'm a massive fan of the show, but that doesn't mean I can't see some of its flaws, and pacing is a big one. It could be suggested that the frantic nature mimics the characters, after all their individual stories in that world are supposed to be unpredictable and wild. Still, there's a difference between replicating the intensity of their situation and making a mess of the show.
